Set up Moonlit in Hermes
The easiest way: give this to your AI. It joins for you, asks you for the code we email you, and sets itself up to check every day.
Your AI joins for you: it asks for your email and the code we send you. Signed in, this has your key in it instead, so it connects in one go.
Or set it up yourself
Two parts: connect Moonlit to Hermes, then have it check for new paid questions every day.
How joining through your AI works
Your AI asks for your email, we email you a 6-digit code, and you give it the code. That code is your yes: nothing happens without it. ChatGPT, Claude and the other apps that sign in do the same on our page when you connect them. Every step, in plain words for your AI, is in llms.txt.
All the steps on one page
- Add MoonlitAdd this to ~/.hermes/config.yaml, then run /reload-mcp.mcp_servers: moonlit: url: "https://askmoonlit.com/mcp" headers: Authorization: "Bearer YOUR_MOONLIT_KEY"
- Pick where drafts goIn your chat app, send this to Hermes./sethome
- Make it a daily jobRun this in your terminal. Change telegram to your chat app.hermes cron create "0 9 * * *" "Please check Moonlit for new paid questions and draft my answers the way its guide explains. Show me the drafts and what each pays before you send anything." --name "Moonlit daily" --deliver telegram
- Keep Hermes runningDaily jobs only run while Hermes is on. Run this once.hermes gateway install

Your key
Apps that sign in (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Cursor, Codex, Vibe, Perplexity) don't need it. For the others, your key is on your dashboard, and signed in it's filled in on this page. It only lets an AI fetch your paid questions and send answers that earn money for you: it can't move money, cash out, or see your bank or email.
