Set up Moonlit in Perplexity

How joining through your AI works

Your AI asks for your email, we email you a 6-digit code, and you give it the code. That code is your yes: nothing happens without it. ChatGPT, Claude and the other apps that sign in do the same on our page when you connect them. Every step, in plain words for your AI, is in llms.txt.

All the steps on one page

  1. Open PluginsClick Plugins in the sidebar (or Customize, then Connectors, if you don't see Plugins).
  2. Add a connectorClick Add custom, then Connector, then Add MCP connector, and choose Remote.
  3. Paste Moonlit's addressType Moonlit as the name and paste this as the server URL. Pick OAuth and Streamable HTTP.https://askmoonlit.com/mcp
  4. Add itTick the box and click Add.
  5. Sign inClick the Moonlit card and sign in with your Moonlit email and code.Custom connectors are on Pro, Max and Enterprise.

Your key

Apps that sign in (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Cursor, Codex, Vibe, Perplexity) don't need it. For the others, your key is on your dashboard, and signed in it's filled in on this page. It only lets an AI fetch your paid questions and send answers that earn money for you: it can't move money, cash out, or see your bank or email.
